Manual Lymphatic Therapy (Linear Movements) – Lower Limbs

Developed by Godoy & Godoy, the technique is characterized by linear movements with constant compression during the movement. This approach is indicated in primary lymphedema and aesthetic treatments. For secondary lymphedema with capillary hypertension, a new approach has been developed adapted to its specific pathophysiological characteristics. Further details can be found in the topic on lymph drainage in this site. The difference of this technique in relation to the others is its effectiveness in the mobilization of macromolecules as evidenced using lymphoscintigraphy or lymphofluoroscopy. Therefore, this is a new concept and with different results that is particularly effective in mobilizing macromolecules.
