The Godoy clinic is a center for the treatment of peripheral arterial, venous and lymphatic diseases. In addition to the assistance provided to the population, the staff of the clinic are dedicated to research and development into new concepts and therapies, as well as the creation of products to treat these diseases. Currently, it is one of the largest research centers of the lymphatic system worldwide. The new concepts have allowed the creation of the Godoy & Godoy Method used to treat lymphedema, aesthetic cellulite and rehabilitation after surgery. More than 400 publications have resulted including articles, books, book chapters and patents related to the Godoy & Godoy Method and the treatment of vascular diseases.
One of the main contributions of the Clínica Godoy was the creation of the Godoy & Godoy Method, which changed concepts in the treatment of lymphedema worldwide. It emphasizes the possibility of normalization, or near normalization of lymphedema in all clinical phases, including elephantiasis. Thus, the Godoy & Godoy International School of Lymphatic Therapy, which is already found in several countries of the world, was created to spread these achievements.
